In the midst of his rapid rise after his debut, Russ also had a trying period: from October 2019 to March 2020, he refrained from social networking and reduced his notable activity; it was a time of recurring criticism he received for his 2017 beef and a major label contract (2017-2020). However, he returned in 2020, declaring to his fans, “I’m back, I’m okay.” Then in 2023, he refreshed himself with no alcohol and basketball, and made it through the live shows. During this live tour, he updated his social network several times. He showed his fans that he had overcome his dependence on alcohol!
After returning to independence, Russ dropped the hit song “3:15 (Breathe)”
