You Are Pulled by Invisible Strings — Marionette —

Section 1: The Strings Being Pulled

Who is pulling your strings?

You move when you know you should stay still.
You speak just to fill the silence.
Before you know it, a smile appears —
one that isn’t quite yours.

Your feet, your face, your mouth —
move on their own.

As if an invisible hand is guiding you.
Like a marionette.

Section 2: Fudego’s Experience

Let me show you what it feels like —
through Fudego, the one who created this place.

She was known for her smile.
But one day, in front of someone,
her mouth froze halfway —
lips pursed like a duck.

At her warehouse job,
she knew she should stop.
Her mind understood.
Yet her body leaned forward anyway.
One foot stepped out before she could catch it.
“Don’t move,” she was told — more than once.

There were other things, too.

Silence became unbearable.
She would start talking —
filling the silence.
She would cut people off —
already guessing what they were about to say.

Like a hunter, her eyes would search the room,
chasing someone’s gaze.

Before she knew it,
she was already standing.

Why was she moving when she wanted to stay still?

Section 3: Who Is Pulling the Strings?

Around the time she thought she had changed,
a coworker said,
“It makes me nervous watching you climb that step stool.”

She thought she had become calmer.
Fewer mistakes.
Steadier movements.
The words still shocked her.

She kept hearing the old phrase:
“You don’t have to rush.”
But she wasn’t rushing.
At least, she didn’t think so.

Old movements kept returning —
climbing as if in a hurry,
crossing the warehouse as if chasing something.

Sometimes, there is a version of her that is not quite her.

As if someone is still holding the strings.
The marionette’s strings —
sometimes held by her past self.

The answer seemed to lie in those old movements.

Section 4: Why Does This Happen?

Why do old patterns keep returning?

The philosopher Pascal once said:
“All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability
to sit quietly in a room alone.”

And in psychoanalysis,
there is a saying:
even when the mind changes,
the body still remembers
the old ways of moving.

So — how is she trying to take the strings back
into her own hands?

5. Fu’s Sanctuary

But first…

Come with me.
Let’s rest for a moment.

Hello… this is Fu.

From here on, welcome to my sanctuary.

Step away from the noise of everyday life,
… the soft rustle of my wings.

As you breathe in rhythm with me,
let something inside you soften.

Please, take your time…
and join me whenever you need.

The story I share is not mine alone.
It passes through me,
and one day, it may pass through you too.

This is a place where you don’t need to rush for answers.

I plant small seeds,
and wait quietly
until the day you need them.

If this place felt even a little easier to breathe in,
please come back anytime.

You are always welcome here…
in the sanctuary where you can hear the breath.

Section 6-1: Taking the Strings Back

Even when she knew it was time to stop,
her body would lean forward —
one foot already stepping out.

She noticed the movement.
She tried to stop it.
But often, she couldn’t.

Trying to stop only made her body tense.

So she tried something different.
Instead of forcing herself to stop,
she began to soften.

When a moment of pause came at the warehouse,
she would gently tell herself,
“Good. A little rest.”
And let her body relax.

She tried to find that quiet moment —
the one that comes with a slow, deep breath.
The feeling of simply being herself.

The old habits still appeared.
But she began to notice when the old patterns took over.

And then — she noticed.

Every time the strings were being pulled,
she was not quite here.

Section 6-2: Little by Little — The Blue Flame

Just as you can brush your teeth
or wash your face with your eyes closed —

when you do something every day,
little by little,
new habits slowly replace the old ones.

Again and again.
Layer by layer.

Some days, she moves the strings herself —
and feels more present than ever.

Other days, she finds herself being pulled again,
without even noticing.

But now, each day,
she notices when the strings are pulling her.

“Ah — there it is again.”
And she smiles.
In that moment,
she takes the strings back into her own hands.

She keeps repeating this.

Section 7: Because She Wants to Stay Here

The past self who once held the strings,
and the self who is learning to hold them now.

She knows both worlds.

And I believe —
this is how life becomes richer.

Sometimes,
she takes a slow, deep breath.
And as she exhales,
she lets her heart and body soften.

She keeps doing this.
Little by little,
as she takes the strings more often into her own hands,
the places she chooses begin to change.

Because she wants to stay here.

If something moved inside you today,
even just a little,

I hope you will simply stay with that feeling for a while…
or breathe together with me,
just a little longer.

Today, too,
Fu is here.
